ROBERT ROBINSON & SON and MATTHEW ROBINSON & SON  (together ‘Robinson Brothers’) of Cumber, Claudy, County Londonderry have been supplying Pre-Mix Concrete/ Screed, Washed Sand/ Gravel, Concrete Bricks & Blocks since 1947.

In the late 40’s, brothers Robert & Matthew Robinson worked together and built two thriving businesses from the ground up.  Taking advantage of the building boom after the 2^nd World War, the  brothers rented property outside of Claudy and bought a disused army truck. Through sheer hard work and determination, they laid the foundations of what was to become a successful business - where family generations would work along side one another and continue taking the company forward into the future.  The Directors of the two firms now also include Edwin and Gareth Robinson.

The company motto is ‘Quality, Service & Value’.  Producing a high quality product is of utmost importance to Robinson Brothers as they are extremely proud of their 65 year reputation for having the hardest Blocks, strongest Concrete and best Sand in the North-West of Ireland.  Most of the firm’s employees have been with Robinson’s for many years, are experienced in their skill and take pride in their workmanship.

Robinson Brothers now have two bases in Claudy and also have a Pre-Mix plant in Ballymoney.  With up to 35 Mixer, Crane & Tipper lorries on the road, the firms are renowned for a prompt delivery service to their customer base.  This is endorsed by many satisfied builders in the region.  With a high quality product range, Robinson Brothers are the best choice around for projects ranging from major housing developments to single dwellings.

The company specialise in 10 to 40 Newton strengths of Pre-Mix Concrete (foundations) and Screed (for sub-floors).  The Concrete ‘common’ Block-work available ranges between 6”, 9” and 12” sizes and can be obtained in 2 strengths of 7.5 and 10.5 Newton.  Bricks and Bagged Cement are also on sale.  The different grades of Sand offered vary from Building, Plastering to Concreting Sands.  Stones range from huge Boulders to Drainage Gravel to tiny pebbles - all passed through our processing plant of breaking, sorting and washing the Sandpit Stone.  Materials can be collected from the Claudy/ Ballymoney bases or delivered out by lorry to Counties Derry, Tyrone and Donegal.

65 years later and Robinson Brothers continue to grow from strength to strength.
